Genesis 50:1-3 Preparation for Jacob’s burial. Genesis 50:4-6 Joseph asks Pharaoh to let him go and bury Jacob, and then come back to Egypt. Genesis 50:7-13 Joseph, his brothers, and lots of other people went to Canaan to bury Jacob.

Genesis 48:1 Since Jacob is about to die, Joseph with two of his sons went to see him. Genesis 48:2 Jacob gets ready for Joseph. Genesis 48:3-4 Jacob tells Joseph how he got blessed in Canaan. Genesis 48:5-6 Jacob claims Manasseh and Ephraim as his own sons.

Genesis 31:1-2 Laban and his sons are jealous because of Jacob’s prosperity. Genesis 31:3 God tells Jacob to return back to his home and relatives. Genesis 31:4-16 Jacob explains to his family why they need to leave, so they all agree with him.
