Notes for Matthew Chapter 4

Jesus calls James and John into His ministry.

Matthew 4:1-11
Jesus’s 40-day and 40-night fast in the desert, and then devil’s 3 temptations for Jesus (with stones; on top of the temple; and by worshipping satan).

Matthew 4:12-17
Jesus moved to Capernaum by the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali where He began His preachings (or ministry).

Matthew 4:18-22
Jesus called 4 fishermen into His ministry (Simon – Peter and his brother Andrew, and James and John the sons of Zebedee).

Matthew 4:23-25
Jesus became very popular in the land of Galilee and Syria because of His teachings and mirracles (or healings of people).
